Partnering with Plain Local Schools

We are a church on mission in Plain Local

Our goal is to support staff, students and families at our local schools by demonstrating the love of Jesus in practical ways. We seek to take our kids and family ministry beyond the walls of our church and into our community. We currently serve at Avondale and Taft Elementary Schools.

What Does This Look Like?

CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS

There are opportunities to serve at both schools - whether it’s playing basketball with a group of students, going over sight words with kids or having lunch with students. We currently have volunteers at both Avondale and Taft Elementary.

AVONDALE FUEL BAGS

On the 1st and 2nd Fridays of each month, September-May, RedOaks provides bags of food for over 60 kids to take home. This provides them with simple meals and snacks for the weekend. We have a team of volunteers who pack the bags each month and the entire church participates in keeping our food pantry stocked.

SCHOOL STAFF & FAMILY SUPPORT

Throughout the year, RedOaks supports the staff and families of each school through donations for school events, Adopt A Family at Christmas, teacher appreciation baskets and cards, Chalk the Walk Back to School event and many more ways.
